Long Island Restaurant Closes Due To Pandemic Hardship, Staff Shortages

A Long Island restaurant has closed its doors after five years in business.

The family-owned restaurant was located at 30 East Main St. in Patchogue.

Swell Taco, which was located in Suffolk County in Patchogue, made the decision to close after a difficult year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic and staff shortages, the owners announced in an Instagram post on Monday, Sept. 27.

The family-owned restaurant was located at 30 East Main St. in Patchogue.

The Babylon location will remain open, the owners said.

"Thank you to all our amazing customers and the town of Patchogue for all the love and support these past 5 years!" the restaurant owners said.
